will visit Norway from 15 to 18 June. During her visit, she will give
her Nobel Lecture and take part in the annual Oslo Forum Mediators’
Retreat, amongst other things.
“I am delighted that Aung San Suu
Kyi can at last be here in person to be celebrated as Nobel Peace Prize
Laureate. Norway has long supported democratic forces in Myanmar and
welcomes the political reforms. We are honoured that Aung San Suu Kyi
has accepted our invitation and that Norway will be one of the first
countries she visits now that she is able to leave Myanmar,” said Mr
Stoltenberg.
Aung San Suu Kyi will meet Mr Stoltenberg during her
visit. She will give her Nobel Lecture in Oslo City Hall on 16 June. On
Sunday 17 June she will visit Bergen and the Rafto Foundation, Aung San
