ဆိုင္ကလုန္းမုန္တိုင္း MAHASEN သည္ ေမလ ၁၆ ရက္ ျမန္မာစံေတာ္ခ်ိန္ ေန႕လည္ ၁၂၃ဝ နာရီမတိုင္မီ ဘဂၤလားေဒ့ရွ္ႏိုင္ငံ ကမ္းေျခကို စစ္တေကာင္းၿမိဳ႕အနီးမွ ျဖတ္ေက်ာ္ဝင္ေရာက္မည္ဟု

The well marked low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood has concentrated into a Depression over the same area at 1430 hours IST of yesterday the, 10th May 2013, within half a deg. of Lat. 5.0° N/Long. 92.0° E. It moved slightly northwards and further intensified into a Deep Depression and lay centred at 1730 hours IST of yesterday the, 10th May 2013 over southeast Bay of Bengal, within half a deg. of Lat. 5.5° N/Long.92.0° E, about 400 Kms south southwest of Car Nicobar and 1550 Kms southeast of Chennai. It moved northwestwards and further intensified into a Cyclonic Storm (MAHASEN) and lies centred at 0830 hours IST of today, the 11th May 2013 within half a deg. of Lat. 7.0° N/Long. 90.5° E, about 350 Kms southwest of Car Nicobar, 1300 Kms southeast of Chennai. The system would intensify further into a Severe Cyclonic Storm during next 24 hours. It would move initially northwestwards during next 36 hours and recurve thereafter northeastwards towards Bangla Desh-Myanmar coasts.
